Orchard

**All photos are the actual fruit from our orchard produced during the 2008 harvest Fruit trees must mature for years before they can produce fruit. The mini orchard in the northeast corner of the property is well established to offer your family fresh sun ripened produce year after year.

Trees in the mini-orchard include: peach (2 Hale-Haven), apple (Gala, Red Delicious, Macintosh, Golden Delicious), pear (red bartlet, yellow bartlet), plum (purple, red "elephant heart"), apricot, cherry (Bing "sweet" cherry). Pressurized irrigation makes watering the orchard convenient and manageable even for the novice gardener.

RASPBERRY PATCH

Raspberries take a couple seasons before they produce ample fruit. This established patch of 15' x 40' is in maturity, offering ample "Heritage" red raspberries each fall. Another low maintenance fruit, the patch has an independent watering line and reaps the largest crop by mowing the bushes to the ground each fall after harvesting.

CONCORD GRAPES

Taking 5 years to produce useable quantities of grapes, these vines are 12 years old and produce heavily each fall. Planted on the east side of the driveway, the grape vines offer a transition from the lawn area to the garden, and the thick foilage provides a visual screen from the road, adding a little taste of an Italian vineyard to your landscaping.
